LaVoy Teal 84 of Abilene passed away Thursday July 9 2009. Graveside services will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Abilene at 10:00 a.m. on Monday July 13 2009 with Pastor Mike Jones officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange Street. LaVoy was born August 14 1924 to Luther and Minnie Bowen in Jones County. She married D.E. Teal on July 2 1958 in Abilene Texas. LaVoy was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers. She is survived by one sister Pauline King Thornton; several nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law; and many friends.
