Leon Hermann 81 of Abilene passed away Friday October 30 2009. Rosary and visitation will be 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 837 Jeanette with services scheduled for 2:00 on Monday at Sacred Heart with Father Bush officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Mr. Hermann was born January 19 1928 in Abilene to Henry and Anna Hermann. He attended St. Joseph's Academy for twelve years and graduated from Hardin Simmons University. He married Ruth Galle in 1953 and they were married for fifty-five years. He worked for Keith Wells Core Labs and owned his own business Hermann Logging Service. He was a life long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Anna Hermann; two brothers: Ernest ""Sonny"" Hermann and George Hermann; two sisters: Helen Hermann and Mary Jones and one son: Marvin Lee Hermann. He is survived by his wife Ruth Hermann; children: Janis Langley and husband Frank of Tuscola; Leon Fred Hermann Jr. and wife Patricia of Merkel and John Karl Hermann and wife Linda of Garland; a brother Henry Hermann and wife Anne of San Angelo four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
