Lewis J. Lesley, Jr "Junior", age 83, passed from this life peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022 at his home in Abilene. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, June 15. Graveside services will be at 10am Thursday at Round Mound cemetery in Hamby with Pastor Jami McCravey officiating. Junior was born on October 18, 1938 in Abilene, Texas to Lewis J. and Lucille Agnew Lesley and lived in the area his entire life. He worked as a Truck Driver and began his career hauling produce for Raymond D. Ray Trucking and then moved on to hauling cattle for T&W Trucking until retiring in 2020. Junior was a good o'l cowboy who loved the country life. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Clinton G. Lesley and Margie Morris. Those left to cherish Junior's memory include his children, Ricky Lesley of Joshua, Texas, Deborah Davis and husband George of Eula, Texas, Mike Lesley and wife Vicki of Cleburne, Texas and Sabrina Nash and husband Will of Phoenix, Arizona; siblings, Jim Lesley, Ollie Grace Mantooth and Tom Lesley and wife Darlene all of Abilene; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
