Lionel Lopez, 72, of Abilene, Texas passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2025, 1:00 PM at North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, March 10, 2025, 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at North's Funeral Home located at 242 Orange ST. Abilene, Texas 79601, with burial to follow at Abilene Municipal Cemetery. Lionel was born October 11, 1952, in Moody, Texas to Francisco Lopez and Patricia Escobedo. Lionel took care of his family by working at Hendrick Laundry Service for 15 years until he transitioned to landscaping until he retired at the age of 62. In his spare time, he loved to hang out with friends and family. He was always down for a good BBQ and enjoyed watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Especially enjoying Sunday breakfast with family made by grandma surrounded by music and laughter. Lionel was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. Lionel was preceded in death by his loving wife Alicia Lopez of 37 years, son Ricky Ramirez, sister Mary and brother John. Left to cherish his memories are his children Sunny C Lopez wife Ashley Lopez, Sonia Lopez, Adrian Lopez wife Tabitha Lopez, Fabian Lopez wife Billie Rose Lopez. Ten grandchildren that he cherished dearly, Cheyenne, Elaina, Tommy, Hannah, Kendall, Ethan, Sebastian, Chelsea, Cabrella, and Adam; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and five great-grandchildren. Brother Frank, Brother Isreal, Sister Nelly, Sister Mona, Sister Martha, and close friend Debbie Garcia. Pallbearers are Sunny C Lopez, Adrian Lopez, Fabian Lopez, Tommy Lopez, Ethan Lopez, Matt Holladay and Anthony Mora.
