Lois Boyce of Hawley passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 in the comfort of her home. A Graveside Services will be held Saturday August 15, 2020 at Hawley Cemetery at 10 am. Visitation will be Friday August 14, 2020 at First Baptist Church Hawley, TX, from 6-7pm. Lois was born October 11, 1922 in Ovala, TX to Stella Goen and Wayne Abernathy. Lois received his primary education from Abilene public schools. After High School Lois moved to Hawley ,TX, were she worked for a store in the early 1960s. Mrs. Boyce also worked for Mrs. Bairds Bakery, Landry mats in Abilene, TX, and a combination of gas and grocery stores. Along with late husband Troy Wells. Lois was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Hawley, TX, In her spare time she loved to play four square at the Sr. Citizens center. She enjoyed going to cafes and visiting with friends. Most of all Lois loved to be sounded by her family. Lois was preceded in death by parents; sister; Katie Chaney, Husband; Troy Wells, and son Bently Wells. Left to cherish her memories are: Beverly Davenport of Hawley, TX, grandsons; Robert Davenport (Sharon) of Hawley, TX, , Randy Davenport of Abilene, TX, Bruce Davenport (Colleen) of Austin, TX, Troy Davenport (Nezi) of New Braunfels ,TX, 6 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
