Lou ""Mema"" Russell 86 of Abilene was called home Friday July 30 2010 to be with her Lord and family. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Wylie Baptist Church with Les Fuller officiating. Burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. in Throckmorton Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel. Lou was born March 8 1924 in Throckmorton Texas to Roy and Grace Fant. She graduated from Throckmorton High School and completed Draugn's Business School. She loved to travel bowl play dominoes and was very involved as a member of Wylie Baptist Church. She married Earl Homer Russell in 1950; they were married thirty-nine years before his demise in 1989. She was preceded in death by her husband parents sister Margie Rowland brother Durwood Fant and son Gary Garrison. She is survived by; two daughters Gay Bridgwater of Abilene and Susan Russell of Round Rock Texas. One brother Wayne Fant of Ft. Worth Texas. Five grandchildren; Todd Brown Jason Prather Chase Tiffany and Tyler Bridgwater. Five great-grandchildren. She left behind beautiful memories and taught us how to live life to the fullest and to care for each other. Thank you for the wonderful years you gave us Mema We Love You!
