Louise Lucas -Barrow 75 of Abilene, passed away October 1, 2024 in Abilene, TX. Funeral services will be held Thursday October 10, 2024 at 10am at North's Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at the Abilene City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday October 9, from 5-7pm. Louise Lucas-Barrow was born in Swenson, TX. to Ernest Lucas and Josephine Willamson-Lucas on 4-14-49. Louise attended Aspermont School, Hamlin School, and Aspermont Jr High School. Louise and her sister, Maureen moved to Dallas TX to attend South Oak Cliff High School. Louise enjoyed attending classes like Home Economics. Louise loved being with her family and friends. Louise took a part in raising her siblings, when her father passed away. Louise met her husband, Melvin (Bubba) Lewis and loved him til he passed away. Louise married her second husband, Raymond Barrow and loved him til he passed away. A compassionate, loving woman that was a Nurse that loved her patients. Mrs Lucas-Barrow was a minister that loved serving God and her community. She was a Mama Bear to her family and the community. Louise also enjoyed feeding the homeless in the community. Louise Lucas-Barrow was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine, father, Earnest, brother, Earnest Jr, brother, Walter, and sister, Nettie. Louise Lucas-Barrow is survived by sister, Maureen Boyd, (Willard) sister, Cora Lucas, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
