Obituary

Loveta Jo King was born June 18, 1961 in Abilene, Texas to the late Joe Bell and Adell Hill. She received her early education in Abilene public school system and graduated from Abilene High School. Loveta accepted Christ at an early age and was a devoted member of Praise Temple Church of God in Christ, where she attended, ministered, and labored diligently. Her primary work in life was serving wholeheartedly in the Kingdom of God-faithfully fulfilling her roles as a wife, mother, daughter, sister and servant to her family and the body of Christ. A woman of grace and elegance, Loveta had a deep love for fashion. She believed that dressing beautifully was a way to reflect God's goodness and to show the blessings he had bestowed upon her life. Rather in worship, fellowship, or everyday living, she adorned herself with care and dignity, allowing her outward presentation to mirror her inner joy and faith. Rooted and grounded in the Word of God, Mrs. King freely shared her anointed gifts with all who crossed her path. She traveled throughout Northwest Texas to fellowship, teach, and worship whenever called upon. Her life was a living testimony of service, generosity and unwavering devotion to her faith. Loveta Jo King, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister departed this life on December 4, 2025, with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Bell and Adell Hill; her brother, Gary Wayne HIll; and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 45 years, Curtis R. King Sr. her children, Asha Nyame of Abilene, Curtis King Jr. (Yvette) of Fort Worth, Shaneca King of Abilene, and Quentin King of Abilene, her brother Roy Hill of Abilene; and a host of grandchildren, Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and dear friends. Lovetas legacy of faith, family service, and shining beauty will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her.
