Loy Dean Lilly 65 years old, of Abilene, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 21st, 2023 in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services and rosary will be held at Tuesday, February 28th, 2023 at 11am at North's Funeral Home chapel with Deacon Victor Ramirez of St. Vincent Pollotti Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Hamby Cemetery. Services are under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street in Abilene ,TX 79604. Loy Dean Lilly was born in Abilene, Texas to Loy H. Lilly and Jo Nell Carpenter on April 23rd, 1957. He attended Eula High School in Eula, Texas were he graduated from. Loy enjoyed fishing, helping people, was a man of all trades and loved fixing things. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and a chef for Cypress Street Station for 15 years, where he was famous for his delicious peach cobbler. Loy Dean Lilly was preceded in death by his parents, Loy and Jo Nell Lilly and his brother, Howard Frank Lilly. Loy Dean Lilly is survived by his daughters, April Alvarez (Fidencio), Rohonda Rife and Angela Schusler; sister, Angela Damme; grandchildren, Tyra Brown, Lilly Alvarez and Devin Alvarez; greatgrandchildren, Alijah Alvarez and one on the way. Loy Dean Lilly will be truly missed by all his friends and family. Pallbearers are; Maddy Mayes, Zack Boyd, Jessie Woods and Jonah Cortez.
