Luis "Cuate" Serrano Jr. 50, of Abilene passed away Thursday, February 15, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at North's Funeral Home Friday February 23, 2024 at 11am. Visitation will be held Thursday February 22, 2024 from 6-8PM at North's Funeral Home with a cremation to follow. Luis was born August 28, 1973 in Odessa, TX to Isidra Martinez and Luis Sandoval Serrano. Luis Graduated Abilene High School Class of 93. He had over 30 years of experience with construction work & held his title as a concrete finisher with pride. His pride and Joy was his Son Luis Hernandez Serrano who passed away march 18,2022. Luis had treasured bonds with many friends but an even more special one with his best friend Santos Estrada. The family would like to show great appreciation to him for all he has done and continues to do for them. Cuate loved being around his family more than anything. He enjoyed dancing and listing to music. No one was a stranger to him. His voice, laugh and all around spirit was one of a kind. Luis was preceded in death by his son; Luis Hernadez, mother; Isidra Serrano, father; Luis Serrano, brothers; Daniel Zamudio, Rudy Zamudio, grandparents, granddaughter; Serenity Serrano and lots of aunts and uncles. Left to cherish his memories are: siblings; Sylvia Gonzales, Manuel Zamudio, Julian Zamudio, Mary Jane Zamudio, twin sister Louisa Serrano, and a host of niece's, nephews, family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
