Lupe Villarreal Chacon 87, of Abilene passed away Monday, February 12, 2024. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 18, 2024, 6-8 PM with a rosary starting at 7PM at North's Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Monday February 19, 2024 at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church at 1pm. With a burial to follow at Abilene City Cemetery. Lupe was born March 12,1936 in Abilene, TX to Inez Martinez and Gilbert Villarreal. Lupe was a valued employee of Coronado Nursing Center for over 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed her yearly visits to Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle- National Shrine. Lupe was a bingo fanatic she loved to dance, watch softball games, and the Dallas Cowboys. She was a faithful member of St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, and enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her family. Lupe was preceded in death by: husband; David Chacon Sr., parents; Inez and Gilbert Villarreal, daughter; Margaret Chacon, son; Freddy Chacon Sr., sisters; Juanita DeLeon, and Rita Rodriguez, bothers; Gilbert Villarreal Jr., Frank Villarreal, Raymond Villarreal, and Paul Villarreal. Left to cherish her memories are: Sons; Gilbert (Olga) Chacon, David Jr. (Amanda) Chacon, Carlos (Donna) Chacon, Daughters; Juanita (Adam) Cisneros, Maggie (Chris) Knapp, Mary Chacon, daughter in law; Sandy Chacon, brother; Pete Villarreal, 25 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers- George Rodriguez Jr., Angel Rodriguez, David Anthony Chacon, Freddy Chacon Jr. Robert Chacon, and Carlos Chacon Jr. Honorary pallbearers- Nickolas Zubiate, Albert Chacon, Matt Chacon, Joseph Chacon, Xavier Monrrial, Paul Chacon, Gabriel Chacon, Christopher Chacon, and Michael Chacon.
