Mabel Neal 85 of Abilene passed away Tuesday, October 20th, 2020 in Abilene. Graveside service will be held Saturday October 24, 2020 at 11am at the Abilene Municipal Cemetery with Rev. James Moore Officiating. Visitation will be held Friday October 23, from 5-7pm at the North's Funeral Home. Mabel was born July 8, 1935 in Washington County Texas to parents Noel Richardson and Sally Armon. She attended school in washington county. Mabel moved to abilene in the late 60's and would raise her children in Abilene. She worked in housekeeping at Hardin Simmons for many years. She loved her family and loved to cook. On any given Sunday you could find Mabel at the Church Doors at Galilee Baptist Church Ushering people to their seats, where she was a long time faithful member and usher. Mabel was preceded in death by parents, Noel Richardson and Sally Armon, son Glen Mclain, daughter LaShon Neal, sister Dorothy Tate, and Brother Frank Walker. Left to cherish her memories are son James Neal of Fort Worth, TX grandsons: Langston Neal of Fort Worth, Fabian Fontenot of Abilene, Bert McLain of Mannford OK, granddaughter Megan McLain of Bryant TX. Brother, Lawrence Walker of Gardena CA, nieces Mary Snow of Abilene, Tiffany Hughes of Grandprairie, TX Barbara Tates of Amarillo, Frances Forman, Linda Tates,Dorothy Lamons, LaTonya Webster of Abilene, nephew Kenneth Tate, and a host of extended family and many friends.
