Margaret Louise Hardy Sherrard 86 of Abilene went to be with her Lord on Friday March 06 2009. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday with Pastor Earnest Wall officiating in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St. Margaret was born August 24 1922 to Miles and Nina Brownlee Hardy in Bradshaw Texas. She moved with her family to Abilene in 1936. She married Joe Calvin Sherrard on March 20 1948 in the Southside Baptist Church. She has been a member of Calvary Baptist Church from 1956 to the present time. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her twin brother Malcolm; and her sister Julia Tough. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Kay Bergeron and husband Keith of Houma Louisiana two grandsons Russ Bergeron and Kyle Bergeron; one great-granddaughter; three nephews Jim Bradley and Russell Tough of Toledo Oregon; several cousins; Bob and John Kuykendall; and her faithful neighbor and caregiver Fred Helmcamp.
