Margie Sears Wells last surviving child of a pioneer West Texas ranching family joined her Heavenly Father on Saturday October 8. She joined her husband five sisters and brother parents and many dear departed friends in reward for a life well and faithfully lived.   A visitation will be held on Tuesday October 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 1341 Elmwood Drive . After a family graveside service a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday October 12 at 1:30 p.m. at First Central Presbyterian Church 400 Orange Street under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street .   Margie was born to May and Arthur Sears on November 13 1924. She was a twin sister of Margaret Sears Brown who preceded her in death on February 12 2007.   Growing up and living in Abilene for most of her life Margie enjoyed the companionship and company of her large family above all else. Her mother brother and sisters and their children were greatly important to her.   After graduating from Abilene High School she attended The University of Texas at Austin graduating with a degree in sociology. She returned to Abilene where she married Harris Peyton Wells Jr. a geologist.   Margie was active in Abilene civic affairs. She served as president of the Junior League of Abilene and the Cotillion Club.   She was one of the first women to serve as Director of a local bank serving for many years at the Bank of Commerce. She served on the Building Committee at First Central Presbyterian Church helping plan the new sanctuary.   She was also an active and astute businesswoman. She opened Las Margies Antiques a store in partnership with her good friend Margie Boles and later continued as owner of Margie Wells Antiques. She became the first certified appraiser of antiques in Abilene .   She is survived by three children and their families: Lindsay and Bill Minter of Abilene Lauren and John Clark of Abilene and H.P. Wells III and Marianne of Fort Worth. Also seven grandchildren: Vera and Will Minter Kaki and Ryan Perdue June Clark and John Marshall Clark Will Wells and Martha Leigh Wells and two great grandchildren: Peyton and June Perdue.   For those desiring memorial contributions may be directed to the Abilene Preservation League First Central Presbyterian Church the Memorial Fund for Austin Denny and Don Morris at St. John's Episcopal School or the donor's favorite charity.   Margie always set a high standard and was looked to for her knowledge of business design and just plain common sense.
