Mary Kay Harper of Abilene passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at her home. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday December 31, 2020 from 12-3pm at the Tye Baptist Church located at 207 Morgan St. Tye TX, 79563. Mary was born April 4, 1957 in NY to Ruth Guy and Neil Guy. She moved to Texas at an early age, and she received her primary education from Lubbock public schools. After High School she worked for the State School in Lubbock for over 20 years. She then moved to Abilene in 2008, and was employed as a Home Health Care nurse for 7 years. Mary was a very kind and special lady who loved people. Mary always took care of her family and neighbors, she often took the neighbors food and gifts to brighten their day. She loved to ride and listen to music and she also loved to shop. Mary was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memories are: daughter, Tiffany Norton and husband Andrew of Lakewood Washington, son, richard Norton and wife Janeesa of Lakewood Washington, sister, Kim Bouse and husband Randy of Hurst Texas, brothers; Neil K. Guy of Iowa, Kevin Guy of Pennsylvania, Kirk Guy of Houston TX, 14 grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and a host of extended family and many friends.
