Mary Sharp Leverett 75 passed away on Saturday May 5 2012 in Abilene. According to her wishes Mary's body was donated to Medical Science. Arrangements were made by North's Funeral Home. Mary was born in Crockett Texas on August 19 1936 to Leonard and Lois Simonton Sharp. She grew up in Houston graduating from Reagan High School . She was a graduate of Sam Houston State Teachers College . Mary married Charles Leverett on February 11 1964 in Odessa Texas . She was a teacher and then a librarian in the Odessa School District and the Cypress Fairbanks School District . Mary was preceded in death by her husband Charles her parents Leonard and Lois Sharp brothers John Sharp Calvin Sharp Aubrey Sharp and sister Kalena Shaw. She is survived by a brother Billy Sharp and wife Benita of Crockett and a sister Margaret Basquette and husband Hugh of Abilene; sister-in-law Barbara Sharp of San Antonio; several cousins nieces and nephews; as well as very dear friends Mary and Peck Boswell and daughters Heather and Vanessa of Houston.
