Mary Lee Smith Masters 83 of Abilene passed away July 19 2012. The family will be receiving guests to a visitation Sunday July 22 2012 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange Street. A Graveside Service will be Monday 10:00 a.m. July 23 2012 at Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Mrs. Masters was born June 4 1929 to James Leonard Smith and Lydia Greenwood Smith in Eastland County Texas . She moved to Abilene in 1962 and worked for Timex until they closed and then worked for Texas Instruments until they closed and retired then worked part-time as a checker at Jewel T Grocery until they went out of business. Mary enjoyed fishing gardening and was a faithful mother that was always there for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents James Leonard Smith and Lydia Smith; two brothers Thomas Leonard Smith and James LeRoy Smith. Mary is survived by two sons William Hughes and Marion Masters; one daughter Marylyn Wilson of Clyde; three granddaughters; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; three sisters; one brother and numerous nieces and nephews.
