Mary L. Neal, age 64, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Faith Deliverance Church, located at 5501 US-277, Abilene, TX. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street, Abilene, TX. Mary was born on February 2, 1960, in Winters, Texas, to Elease Dorothy Triggs and Vernon Grant. The family moved from Winters to Coleman when she was young before settling in Abilene, where she later attended Abilene High School. After high school, Mary worked as a caregiver at Coronado Nursing Home for many years and also at the Abilene State Supported Living Facility. Known for her outgoing personality, Mary had a deep love for singing, which she was very talented at. She also enjoyed decorating and was very creative. Mary met the love of her life, Kenneth Harold Neal, and they spent 33 loving years together. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Grant and Elease Dorothy Triggs, as well as her brothers Johnny Williams, Vernon Ray Grant, and Willie Grant, and her sisters Joe Laura Garrett and Patsy Lewis. Mary's memory will be cherished by her devoted husband, Kenneth Harold Neal, of Abilene, TX; her children: Tishea Johnson of Abilene, Jonathon Johnson of Carrollton, TX, Marcus Johnson (Britne) of Norman, OK, Jessica Porras (Eloin) of Greenville, TX, and Richard Earl Johnson of Carrollton, TX; and her bothers and sisters Stella Sims, Richard Grant, Carl Williams and Brenda Williams; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of extended family and many friends.
