Mary (Brandi) Kathleen Reinert passed away peacefully surrounded by her children, family and loved ones and in her soulmates loving embrace at Bright Point in Abilene, Texas on March 30th, 2025 @ 12:58pm. A Celebration of life Service will be held at Wylie Christian Church Saturday May 3, at 2pm officiated by Doug Roysden her long time pastor and friend, as well as Shawna Hayhurst her Reiki Spiritual Leader and Shawoman and also long time friend and mentor. The family will be taking her home to rest at her place of peace and healing at the Guadalupe River. She was Born to Michael Norman Swanson and Mary (Corky) Evelyn McVay, In Lubbock, Texas. October 25th, 1964. Her first marriage to her love Bobby Joe Penny, ended shortly after he died 2 years into their marriag. She was then married to Patrick Rabel and had two lovely children. Finally finding and marrying her long time love and soulmate David Reinert. Brandi was very active in the community and loved to help those around her always trying to bring a smile to someone's day. She served in many groups including Girl Scouts, Abilene North softball, Patty Harper Dance Studio, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, Alpha Psi Alpha Member at MCM University, Big Country Emmas Community, We care of Abilene, AA Community Sobriety of 20 years!, Member of the Free Mom Hugs of Abilene And Charter member and Elder of Wylie Christian Church Disciples of Christ. Member of the Golden Eagle Ministry. Brandi Had a strong Education as well, she attended several schools in the area finally Graduating in 1995 with Degrees in both special Education 1&2 as well as Psychology Major. She worked several jobs including 3 years at the Abilene state school. Helping Manage John Knoxx Presbyterian Campground, Co-owner of Handy Hand Construction Company, Manager of the Tye Wes-T-Go truck stop Gift shop, And Serenity House Crisis Call Center for 6 Years again helping those in the community. Brandi was proceeded in death by her mother Mary Corky Evelyn Swanson, sister Penelope Sue Swanson, father-in-law Harold Hundley, Mother-in-law Brenda Reinert, Father-in-Law Herman Eugene Reinert, Her mother law Louis Britton, Her Brother-in-law Richard Fears, Her brother-in-law Herman Eugene Reinert II, sister-in-law Candy Delite Richman, sister-in-law Cherry Lynn Bishop, brother-in-law Paul Bishop, sister-in-law Micki Manzo, And brother-in-Law James Daniel Reinert. She is survived By her father Michael Norman Swanson, Mother-in-Law Ouidea Price, Her loving husband and Soulmate David Reinert, Her Children David Brian DaVila, Megan & David Walraven, Sarah Rabel, Jessica Reinert, Michelle & Eric Gilmore, Marissa DeLeon & Husband Michael, Her Numerous Grandchildren Ruth Walraven, Brianna, Sophia, Samantha DaVila, Evan Brown, Damien and Malakai Moss, Jackson and Jaycee Giddings, Zayda,Jerome, and Kae'von Gilmore, Kinsley, Malichi, and Madison DeLeon. Her Brother Kevin Swanson and wife Laura, Her Sister-in-law Diane Fears, Her Sister-in-law Carolyn Hundley, Her sister-in-Law Becky Turner, And Her sister-in-law Josie Reinert. She has Many adopted children who loved her and called her mom as well as grandchildren she was grandmommy to all. She Loved all her Nieces and Nephews and all that she was lucky to call Family.
