Mary Ann Smith 80, of Abilene passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday , May 13, 2014, in North's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jeff Reid officiating. Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. in Belton North Cemetery, under the direction of North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in North's Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Smith was born August 2, 1933 in Belton, Texas to William and Dolly (Rogers) Wilson. She married Hubert Smith July 6, 1956 in Waco, Texas. She and Hubert moved to Abilene in 1972. She worked for Sears for many years. She was a member of the Methodist church. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and five brothers. Her two children Vickie Lou and Hubert Edward Smith, Jr. She is survived by her husband , Hubert and daughter , Barbara Ann Smith and her little furry friend Tiny Ann. Many nieces and nephews. In lieu the family requests donations be made to the charity of their choice.
