Melissa Sue Enriquez, 38, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on December 26, 2025. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at North's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at North's Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Abilene City Cemetery.
She was born on June 1, 1987, in Abilene, Texas, to Edward and Sulema Enriquez.
Melissa was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the proud mother of two children, Aaliyah Calamaco and Azariah Enriquez, who were the center of her world. She cherished every moment spent with her children and family.
She is survived by her parents, Edward and Sulema Enriquez; her siblings, Misti Enriquez (42) of Abilene, Texas, Thomas Alonzo and Patricia Enriquez (41) of Abilene, Texas, and Ashley Enriquez (39) of Abilene, Texas; four nieces; seven nephews; and two great-nieces. Many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her dearly.
Melissa was known for her kind heart, loving spirit, and joyful personality. She was friendly to everyone she met and brought laughter and light wherever she went. Her smile could brighten any room. She loved dancing as if no one was watching and had a deep love for God. Melissa enjoyed singing and listening to worship music and lived her life with faith and gratitude.
In 2018, Melissa furthered her education by attending college, where she earned her degree as a Medical Assistant, a role that reflected her caring and compassionate nature.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Basilio and Isabel Moreno, Edward Enriquez Sr., and Mary Gomez.
Melissa will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
