Melva Ruth Aldridge passed from this world on May 31st, 2022. She is now resting in heavens glory. A memorial service will be held on Saturday,June 11th, 2022 at 3pm at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. Jeff Reid will be officiating.

Ruth was born in Powderly Tx July of 1938 to Bevy & Bertha Patterson. Ruth was the youngest of four siblings ,Frank, Virginia,and Gordon Lee Patterson who loved & adored their baby sister. Ruth & Bill Aldridge raised five children in Odessa Tx, Paul Aldridge (wife Debbie), David Aldridge (wife Lisa), Michael Aldridge, Rebecca Aldridge Hartmankok, Stephen Aldridge (wife Beverly). Ruth was lovingly known as "Nannie" to her 11 Grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She moved to Abilene in 1981. Ruth had many passions in her life. Her first was digging deep into the word of God. Ruth taught Ball Room dancing for Author Murray dance studios for over 20years. She was in Theater plays in Odessa Tx for several years. She picked up painting soon after marrying Arnold Huddleston in 1997. Ruth was blessed to of traveled with her precious friends to different dance venues , cruises,and on mission trips. Her favorite destination was Israel where she placed her feet upon the Holy Land. Oh and road a camel. Ruth always had a funny story to tell that kept everyone laughing. Ruth was so Loved by her family & friends and will truly be missed.
