Michael D'Shaune (Peanut) Gaines, 38, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015, in Jacksonville, FL. Funeral services will be Friday, July 3, 1:00 p.m. at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street, Abilene, TX. Michael was born November 5, 1976 to Valerie Gaines of Jacksonville, FL and Cleosie Brooks (Vickie) of Fort Worth, TX. Michael is survived by his parents, his sister Kamilah Brooks and brother Lonnie S. Burts, of Fort Worth, TX along with his aunts and uncles; Ann (Joe) Estelle of Waco, Sheila (Larry) Smith of Abilene, Lavern Gaines of Hutto, Joseph F. Gaines, Jr. of Waco, and Darrell (Michele) Gaines of Little Elm, and a host of cousins. Michael was the beloved grand-child of Joseph F. Gaines, Sr. and Ruby V. Gaines who have preceded him in death. We are sure his Grandmother greeted him in heaven with a huge smile and out stretched arms.
