Michael Harold Innes, 71, of Abilene passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017. A mass will be held in Holy Family Catholic Church at 9:30 A.M. Friday, August 4, 2017 with Monsignor Fred Narwaskas presiding. Burial will follow in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St.
Mr. Innes was born October 31, 1945 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Harold and Bernice (Gielow) Innes. He married Mary Jayne Kujawa on June 21, 1969 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller for twenty-two years. After retirement from the Air Force, he worked for the FAA, the Robertson Unit and the Taylor County Jail before completely retiring. He was an avid golfer at Maxwell Golf Course and a life-long fan of the Green Bay Packers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Bernice.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Mary. Daughter Meredith Farquharson and husband Tony. Daughter Marian Zett and husband John. Granddaughter, Michelle Grove and husband Jared, Grandson Joshua Zett and great-grandson Jaden Grove.
