Mildred Sue Hicks Faulkner 83 of Ovalo Texas died at her home Thursday afternoon November 3 2011. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday November 7 in Dewey Cemetery west of Lawn Texas on FM 382 with Rev. T. C. Melton officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00PM Sunday November 6 at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange St. Mrs. Faulkner was born July 25 1928 in Whitewright Texas and was the daughter of Frank and Lela Hicks. She married Kenneth C. Faulkner on April 10 1948 and moved to Abilene in 1950. In 1978 Kenneth and Sue built their country home in Ovalo. Mrs. Faulkner was happiest in her kitchen. Her greatest joys in life were her kids her grandkids and her great-grandkids. She made sure no one left her home hungry especially her family. Mrs. Faulkner is predeceased by her husband Kenneth Faulkner and her parents. Survivors include four sons Don Faulkner and wife Margie of Abilene Ronnie Faulkner and wife Marilyn of Tuscola Gary Faulkner and wife Nancy of Scotland South Dakota Frank Faulkner and wife Krystal of Ovalo two daughters Gail Faulkner of Abilene Marcia Easley of Lawn; seventeen grandchildren sixteen great-grandchildren; two brothers Jack Hicks and wife Ann of Sherman Texas Orville Head and wife Cecilla of Tom Bean Texas and one sister Doris Gibson of Gunter Texas.
