Mitzi Marietta Stash Morrisset passed away Sunday February 20 2011 after a battle with cancer.  A service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Hamby Methodist Church with Chris Holland officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Mitzi was the only child of Kenderick Kykendall Morrisset and Aradia Martin Morrisset. Her father was one of the original Abilene pioneer families the Morrissets. She graduated from McMurry University and married John Fred Stash in Wichita Falls Texas . She later received her Master's degree in Education. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Hamby Methodist Church . Her family lead by her mother Aradia played an important role in building the original Hamby Methodist Church . In her later years Mitzi was cared for by her only granddaughter Randi at her home place in Hamby. She is survived by her only son Eddie Don Stash and wife Jean DeLamar Stash; two grandchildren Bryce Decidue Stash and Randi Morrissette Stash all of Abilene .
