Naomi Jocille Sims "Jo Boy" 88, of Kirbyville, Texas formally of Abilene passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014.The family will receive friends from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. on Sunday in North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street. Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Elmwood Memorial Park with Pastor Keith Clifton officiating, under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Naomi was born in Anson, Texas on August 30, 1925 to William Proffitt and Bessie (Dillard) Proffitt. She lived-in Kirbyville for eight years. She worked at Timex and retired from Texas Instruments. She was preceded in death by her husband Otis F. Sims and grandson Carl Allan Sims. She is survived by her sons Otis C. Sims "Shorty" and wife Pat of Call, Texas, Dennis Wayne Sims and wife Susie of Waco, Texas. Brothers Cecil Proffitt of Abilene, Texas, George Proffitt and wife Jeanette of Las Vegas, Nevada.
