Nestor Donahoe, 48, of Abilene, passed away Monday, September 14, 2026. Funeral services are pending at this time.

Nestor was born October 27, 1977, in Jiquipilas, Chiapas, Mexico, to Petrona Escobar de Jimenez and Catarino Jimenez. In his early twenties, Nestor moved to the United States, where he built a life filled with meaningful experiences, friendships, and love.

On January 27, 2017, Nestor married the love of his life, Joseph Donahoe. Together, they shared many wonderful adventures and cherished memories. Among their most treasured experiences was scuba diving, an activity that reflected Nestor's adventurous spirit and his love for enjoying life to the fullest.

Nestor was a true go-getter who approached life with enthusiasm and curiosity. He was friendly, bubbly, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a remarkable ability to learn about many different things and was obsessed with cellphones and enjoyed plants, especially telling his husband about every single one on hikes and at the botanical gardens. Nestor was naturally curious and enjoyed figuring out how things worked. As a machine operator, he could often be found watching YouTube videos to learn more about the machines he worked with and how they operated.

At home, Nestor was always willing to help and took pride in doing his part. His caring nature, willingness to help others, and joyful personality made him someone who was deeply appreciated by those around him.

Left to cherish his memories are: His Husband, Joseph Donahoe; His Best Friend, Jenn Harris and His Siblings Nuria, Edgar, Marcela, Nelson, Susana, Jose Antonio, Elda, Isabel and the rest of his Family and Friends.

Nestor will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his curiosity, his helpful heart, and the happiness he brought to the lives of those who knew and loved him. He leaves behind cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
