Neva Wise 69 of Abilene passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, at her home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at North's Funeral Home. Neva was born March 22, 1955, in Twentynine Palms, CA to Willene Strout and Richard Strout. The family moved to Oklahoma, and that is where she grew up. She then moved to Amarillo where she met the love of her life Sol " (Eddie) in Amarillo, working as a waitress. Neva and Sol was married for 50 years. They moved to Abilene in the '70s, where they were owner-operators of the Bait Shop for over 25+ years, that was their "Happy Place". Neva absolutely loved playing the piano, going fishing when she could, and doing her crossword puzzles. She adored her dogs and most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Neva was preceded in death by her husband Sol Wise, Sisters; Sandra Melton, Cecelia Strout, and Patricia "Pat" Boling Left to cherish her memories are Children: Billy Strout of Abilene, Rocky Wise of Hamby, Trisha Ann Wise of Abilene, Duke Wise of Abilene, Cecelia Wise and (Chance) of Abilene, and Sandra Wise of Abilene. Grandchildren: Jayton Wise of Abilene, David Strout of Hamby, Markley Norton of Clyde, Carly Jean Gustine Wise of Clyde, and great-grandchildren: Ozlynn Wynell Wise of Abilene and Jackson Sol Taylor Boyd of Abilene.
