Nickie Martinez of Abilene, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Medical City Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Memorial Services will be held at North's Funeral Home Sunday December 22, 2024 from 2-4pm. Nickie was born July 12, 1987 in Abilene, TX to Gloria Lopez Martinez and Albert Martinez. Nickie received her primary education from Anson High School. After High School she cherished her loving son by working at AISD. In her spare time she loved spending time with her family members and mostly during nice weather she loved going fishing. Going fishing and teaching her son Leo was all she wanted to do. Once she moved to Arkansas she enjoyed hiking with her son Leo. During football season, she was on the grill making all sorts of food. We all had to be quite so she can watch her games. Nickie was preceded in death by Juan Vasquez 11. Left to cherish her memories are: son; Leonydus David Martinez, father, Albert Martinez and spouse Dolores Martinez ; Mother Gloria Lopez Martinez. Siblings: Albert Martinez Jr spouse (Sara Benavides), Erica Martinez, Debra Martinez, Vickie McVey and spouse (Trooper McVey). Numerous nephews and nieces, as well great nephews and nieces. She is loved by many. She touched many many hearts. She gave so much love, joy and happiness. She stood on business. She was a sister to three and a brother to one.
