Nolan Carroll Bynum 83 of Abilene passed away Sunday February 20 2011. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street . Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Locust Street Church of Christ with Terry Hirtzel officiating. Pallbearers will be Carl Bynum Sein Bynum Zane Latham Brandon Latham Raymond Wilson and Ronnie Hamilton. Burial will follow at Round Mound Cemetery under the direction of North's Funeral Home.   Nolan was born December 4 1927 in Hamilton Texas to Joseph and Mary ( Anderson ) Bynum.   After high school he served in the US Navy during WWII.   He was preceded in death by his parents an infant son David Bynum and a second son Albert Bynum.   He is survived by his wife of 58 years Christine Bynum; two brothers Joe and Carl Bynum; two grandsons Sgt.
