Nona Wainscoat (Moma Nona) of Sweetwater, Texas went home to her Lord Friday, February 21, 2020 in Abilene, Texas. Graveside Services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday February 26 at the Abilene City Cemetery, with Tyler Martin officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 12pm to 1:30pm at North's Funeral Home. Nona was born December 20, 1946 in King City, CA to Gladys Hawkins and George Wainscoat. No one was ever a stranger to her and she loved spending time every day at The Center with her friends, Nona loved babies, animals and dancing. She was an avid collector of anything Elvis, stuffed animals, purses and coffee mugs. Nona was a beloved sister, aunt, cousin and friend who saw life with the eyes of a child. She was loved by everyone who's life she touched and her light will be missed by all. Nona is survived by her brother, Bob Pickett of Sweetwater, Texas; sister, Georgan Hausenfluke of Bonham, Texas; nephew, Bobby Pickett and family of Cedar Park, Texas; nieces, Debbie Martin and family of Roscoe, Texas, Ginger Paro and family of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Callie Mcfadden and family of Bonham, Texas and several cousins.
