Ola Jean Steward 83 of Abilene went to be with her Lord May 5 2010 after a long illness A Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. with Jimmy Hatcher officiating in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 - 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Ms. Steward was born June 27 1926 in Gorman Texas to Owen and Ella Schooler. She graduated from Moran High School. She married Claudie ""Punk"" Steward February 27 1946. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents husband four brothers three sisters and one son. She is survived by two sons Nelson ""Sam"" Steward and wife Carolyn of Merkel Texas and Tommy Steward and wife Patricia of Murfreesboro Tennessee. Three grandchildren Tonya Reffner and husband Charles of Tullahoma Tennessee Mindy Cheek and Paige Pankey of Ft. Worth Texas and Todd Steward of Austin Texas.
