Otis McCoy 91 of Abilene passed away Wednesday November 18 2009. Visitation will be Friday from 6-7:30 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange Street. Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday at North's Chapel with Don Greenway and Willie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery. Mr. McCoy was born December 28 1917 in Hawley Texas to Willie Carl and Lena McCoy. He married Helen Nixon on July 3 1927. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and retired in 1975 as an Abilene Firefighter after thirty-three years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents one son three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife Helen McCoy; two sons: Ricky McCoy and Ron McCoy; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Online condolences may be sent to www.northsfuneralhome.com
