Obituary

Patricia A Roberts entered eternal rest to join her beloved Husband, Kenny, on April 12, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 11AM Friday, April 23 at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street, Abilene with Pastor Bill Murphy officiating. Inurnment will be private. Patricia was born on May 6, 1942 in Lewisville, Arkansas to Lester and Gladys Clark. She lived in the Abilene area since 1981. Patricia retired from Dyess AFB in 2006. Her last civil service position was as the 7 th Medical Group Secretary, affectionately known as 'the blocker'. To get to the Commander, you had to get through Patricia; which many of you know was NOT an easy task. She actually prided her self is being 'the gate keeper'. She often told the story of a young major, who for some odd reason, thought he outranked her. Pulling rank was not viewed favorably – and needless to say, the young major was stopped in his tracks. She had an opinion about everything, and was not shy to share it. Being on her 'good side' is where you always wanted to be. Words that might be used to describe Patricia include – Sassy, Salty and Ornery. She adored sweet Gypsy Rose – her constant companion for the last 15 years. She loved her chicken enchiladas, a salad with every meal, making pinto beans, and giving Gypsy Rose a little bit of everything! She loved her gardens and butterflies and is now bootscooting and picnicking with the love of her life, Kenny, for all eternity. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Kenny Roberts. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Dianna Lowe and husband Bob of Broadus Texas; grandchildren, Tyler, Anna, Paul, Ashlee and "adopted" daughter Deb Strong and husband Jay. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Tye Police Department for always taking such great care of mother. Words of comfort for the family may be left at www.northsfuneralhome.com.
