Patricia Hernandez, age 82, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025. Patricia was born on August 25, 1943, in Rosenberg, Texas. She later moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she met Benito Garcia and lived for four years. She eventually made Abilene, Texas her long-term home. Over the years, Patricia worked at Pepsi, Hendrick's, and in the cleaning industry. She enjoyed attending garage sales, shopping at Goodwill, cooking, listening to music, and dancing. Above all, she adored her family and treasured time spent with them. Patricia is survived by her husband, Salvadore Martinez; her children: Benny Garcia Jr. (Rosa) of Snyder, Texas; Mary Lou Corral (Victor) of Abilene, Texas; Linda Garcia (Noe) of Oklahoma; Dora Hernandez (Gustavo) of Winters, Texas; Larry Garcia (Belinda) of Lubbock, Texas; Max Garcia of Winters, Texas; and Martin Garcia (Mindy) of Abilene, Texas; along with 51 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Isabell Garcia and Diane Christine. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.with the Rosary to begin at 6pm at North Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. St. Vincent Catholic Church, with burial to follow at the Abilene City Cemetery.
