Obituary

Patricia Turner went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 23, 2021. Public visitation will be held Monday August 30, 2021 from 6-8pm at the North's Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be private. Patricia was born March 8, 1948 in Gary, Indiana to the late Alfred Henderson and Luvenia Fitzhugh Graham. She received her education from Malcolm College in Chicago, IL in 1978 and American Commercial College in Abilene, TX in 2005. Patricia was called to the ministry in 1979 at Great Miracle C.O.G.I.C., Wichita Falls, TX and became an ordained minister April 1984 at Glory Bound Baptist Church, Chicago. She was later ordained as an Evangelist in 1987, and has since founded Out of the Darkness Comes the Light Ministry in 2001. Patricia's desire was to be so close to Jesus that he would use her at anytime for his purpose. She wanted people to know the real Jesus & his love for them. She also desired to provide comfort to anyone who was hurting or discouraged. She wanted to live a life as such to where when she left this world; she left a good work, a good life, and a divine sign that she "made it home." She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Dominique Harris & brothers: Lester Graham, Frank "Scooter" Graham, & Nathaniel Fitzhugh. Left to cherish her memories are her children: William Thompson & wife Delois of Abilene, TX; Otis Thompson of Colorado Springs, CO; Debra Harris of Abilene, TX; Otto Thompson & wife Adrienne of Abilene, TX; Jenetta McDaniel & husband Patrick of Abilene, TX; Michael Thompson & wife Berdia of Abilene, TX; brothers Roscoe Davis of Newnan, GA and Tyrone Henderson of Chicago, IL; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family & friends.
