Patrick Timothy Kelly, 76, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023 after a brief illness at Hendrick Medical Center. He was born to the late George and Judy Kelly on June 25, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio. He attended Abilene schools. He enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam. Patrick married the love of his life Sheri Kaye Dozeman on September 5, 1998 in Abilene. Patrick, also known as "Catfish" by family and friends, had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. He retired from Cypress Truck line after 20 years working as a truck driver. He spent his life enjoying family, friends, drag racing, fishing, traveling or just sitting on the deck listening to his music. His outgoing personality could always bring a smile or a laugh to the people around him through his jokes and stories. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish Patrick's memory are his wife, Sheri Kelly, stepson David Linahan, stepdaughter Tabitha Roberts and husband Jeff, stepdaughter Kayla Lindsey and husband Wes, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also, his sisters Diane Dimon, Mary Byrom, Colleen Deaner and their families. A graveside service will be held at the Texas Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 10am with Pastor Jami McCravey officiating.
