Paul J. Yackel, of Abilene, TX, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025. He was born on December 20, 1953, in Syracuse, NY, to Mary Ann Sewak and Paul Arthur Yackel. Paul dedicated many years to working in the refrigeration industry and also worked in maintenance for several apartment complexes. He had a passion for fishing, playing golf, and watching NASCAR races. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Karl Yackel. Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Christine Yackel, of Abilene, TX; daughters Mary Yackel of Fort Myers, FL, and Michelle Drake (Dustin) of Abilene, TX; son Andrew Casselman of Liverpool, NY; grandchildren Cole, Mackenzie and Nicholas; his sister Sandra Ball (Robert) of North Carolina; his sister-in-law Debbie Yackel of Manlius, NY; his stepmother Marjorie Yackel of Lansing, MI; as well as a host of extended family and many friends.
