Peggy Patrick Jackson a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great -grandmother, and friend; passed into the gates of heaven, January 26th 2025, in Abilene, Texas. Memorial Services will be at 1 pm, Monday, February 3, 2025 at Elmwood West United Methodist Church, 1302 S. Pioneer, Abilene TX, Pastor James Potter of Elmwood West United Methodist Church will Officiate. A private burial will be at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery a later date. Under the direction of North's Funeral Home.
Peggy was born April 20, 1941 in Comanche, Texas to George Maurice and Era Ellen Oxley Patrick; and lived her entire childhood in Mullin, Mills County, Texas; a place that was always very near and dear to her heart.
Peggy has shared 45 years of marriage with her husband, Leland F. Jackson. They moved to Abilene in 1981, where she worked 20 years for Hendrick Medical Center., then retired in 2008. She was a member of the Elmwood West United Methodist Church, an active volunteer for the Noah project, a domestic abuse shelter, and donated her time helping at the Regional Victims Crisis Center.
Peggy enjoyed painting, running, buying and selling antiques, being with her beloved cats and dogs; adopting the neighborhood stray animals; but most of all she loved to be with family and friends.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Leland F Jackson, a brother, Bill Ellis ; 5 children; Kelly Grissom, Jett Robinson, Stacy Robinson, Marnie Jackson Padilla, Shanie Jackson-Langer; 5 grandchildren: Kendra Grissom O'Dell, Asher Robinson, Lauren Morris, Kaylee Langer, Jackson Padilla, Tyler Padilla, and Danny S. Padilla; and one great-grandson, J.T. O'Dell.
