Ramona Taylor 81 of Abilene passed away Wednesday November 25 2009. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at North's Memorial Chapel with Kevin Kennedy officiating. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel. Ms. Taylor was born August 21 1928 in Lincoln Kansas to Claire and Pearl Grantham. She married Melvin Pilcher who preceded her in death. She later married Emmett Taylor in 1964 who preceded her in death in May 2000. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Clyde and an avid Nascar fan. She was preceded in death by her parents two husbands and one son. She is survived by children: Melvin Bert Pilcher and wife Kathy Darlene Alpaugh Michael Pilcher and wife Patricia James Pilcher and wife Suzanne Diana Trevino and husband Matt Emmett Lee Taylor Jr. Joseph Taylor and wife Dianne; eleven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother Duane Britt and wife Jean; and sister Sylvia Mickey.
