Raymond Curtis Barrow Jr. 63, of Abilene passed away June 18, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held Thursday June 26, 2025 at the Commitment Ministries Church at 11:30am with burial to follow at the Abilene City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 11am at the church. Born in Mississippi, Raymond Barrow spent his early years in his home state, where he also attended school. In the 1980s, he made Abilene, Texas his home a place where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. It was there he met the love of his life, Mary Jane, with whom he shared 35 beautiful years. Raymond Barrow had a passion for life that was evident in everything he did. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and was known for his karaoke singing. A master of the grill, he loved to BBQ for friends and family. He also had a competitive spirit and could often be found playing basketball with the boys or testing his luck at the bingo hall-one of his favorite pastimes. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane of Abilene, Texas; Mother Phyllis of Florida, step father John Stubbs, children: Robert Barrientes (April), Tony Barrientes (Ashley), Joshua Barrow, Patrick Barrow, and Jonathan Barrow, all of Abilene, Texas. He is also survived by his siblings: brothers; Alonzo Lucas, Johnathan Borrow, John (Chris) Stubbs (Wynter) , Lucas Peter Timothy Lorick. Sisters Ramona Clark, Amelda Barrow, April Tutt, Louise Johnson , Angel Barrow, and Pamela Lorick. Nieces Savannha Johnson, Unique Maston, Amaya Zepeda, Bianca Branch, Asia Stubbs Navada Lorick, Ceazia Wright, Journey Stubbs, nephews: Joe Zepeda, Jaylen Stubbs, Royce Clark, Jordan Barrow, Justin Barrow, Robert Clark, Cash Garth, Jamelle Koonce, He leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who will carry on his legacy. He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Barrow Sr., brother-in-law, and stepmother Louise Barrow. Raymond Barrow will be remembered for his warm heart, fun-loving spirit, and unwavering devotion to his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
