Obituary

James A. Huyck 71 went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday morning December 29 2008 after a long hard fought battle with Parkinson's Disease. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday January 1 2009 at Faith Baptist Church with Steven Parker officiating. Arrangements by North's Funeral Home 242 Orange. Jim was born and raised in Endicott New York. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany then at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs where he met and married his wife Joyce Ann Jackson on February 23 1957. They had five sons. Reverend Huyck pastored Bible Baptist Church in Coleman Texas Eastside Baptist Church in Abilene Texas founded Liberty Baptist Church in Eastland Texas. He pastored until he became too ill. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Leona Huyck oldest son Ronald F. Huyck and grandson James Dean Huyck. He is survived by his wife Joyce of Abilene sons George and wife Sylvia of Arlington Texas Scott and wife Janet of Cedar Hill Texas Danny and wife Christy of Mansfield Texas James Jr. and wife Nancy of Abilene daughter-in-law Terri Huyck of Abilene; 15 grandchildren 12 great-grandchildren sisters Marilyn and husband Melvin Lane Bern and husband Gip Nemchek Ginger and husband Gene Reed and brother Gary Huyck and wife Helen all of New York.
