Rhonda Morris, 69, of Abilene passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 31, 2024, and visitation will follow at North's Funeral Home located at 242 Orange Street Abilene, Texas. Rhonda was born March 27, 1955, in Kingsville, TX to Shirley (Tarver) Nordstrum and Charles Burnett (US Navy retired). Rhonda has lived in several states from Maine to Texas as a US Navy dependent. She was a graduate of Cooper High School, class of 1974, and worked as a teacher's aide for Abilene Independent School District for 20 years. She enjoyed being with her dogs and fishing with her husband, Jesse, and loved her family dearly. Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Nordstrum and Charles Burnett. Rhonda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jesse Morris, and daughter, Amber Morris of Abilene, TX; and siblings Gwen, Rick and Ray Burnett of DFW; and sisters-in-law Connie Allison of Abilene, TX; and Vickie Stewart and Charlotte Vistine of Oklahoma; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
