Ricarda Mary Vasquez 73, of Lawn, TX. passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Funeral Services will be held Monday August 19, 2024 at 1pm at North's Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held Monday from 12pm-1pm at North's Funeral Home. Ricarda was born July 22, 1951 in Austin, TX. to Frances Dominquez and Ezequiel Hernandez. Ricarda received her primary education from Austin public schools. The family then moved to Oklahoma, then to Muleshoe TX. before settling in Lawn, TX in 1973. Ricarda loved to play bingo, doing crafts, dancing and watching movies, but most of all she loved spending time with her children, and grandchildren. Ricarda was preceded in death by husband Olegario Velasquez, parents Ezequiel Hernandez, Frances Dominguez, sister Juanita Rodriguez, brother in law Refugio Rodriguez, brother Ezequiel Hernandez Jr., and son Christopher Richard Garcia. Left to cherish her memories are: son Rafael Garcia (Angela) of Abilene, daughter, April Salazar (Chadwick Wade) of Abilene, son Juan Garcia (Evelyn) of Abilene, sister Adela Munoz (Feliz) of Lawn, 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and many friends.
