Richard Aaron 73 passed away Thursday November 20 2008. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 11:00 a.m. at North's Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange St. Mr. Aaron was born March 7 1935 to Horace and Myrtle Aaron in Kilgore Texas. He served in the United States Navy. He was a well known and loved barber in Abilene for more than 40 years at Elmwood West Barber Shop. As his customers would say he was a "hoot". He is preceded in death by his parents one sister and one brother. He is survived by his wife Bobbie. One daughter; Sherrie Gilchrest and one son Tommy Aaron. Two brothers; Gene and Jack Aaron. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
