Richard Buchalla 79 of Abilene passed away Saturday November 01 2008. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at North's Memorial Chapel with E. J. Chafin officiating. Burial will follow in Tye Cemetery under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St. Mr. Buchalla was born March 29 1929 to William and Eula Buchalla in Graham Texas. He married Billie Sue Jones December 27 1948 in Graham. He moved to Abilene in 1952. He worked for Pride Refinery as a Lab Supervisor for 35 years before retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He is survived by his wife Billie; one son Norman Buchalla of Abilene; one daughter Sandra McKeever of Abilene. Four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One brother Bill Buchalla and wife Doris of Brenham Texas. One sister Mildred Reed of Lubbock Texas. Brother-in-law Ronnie Jones and wife Ellen of Abilene.
