Richard Lawrence Chapman, 61 years old, passed away on March 20, 2023, in Abilene, TX. A memorial service in his honor will be scheduled for a future date in New Jersey. Richard Lawrence Chapman was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York to Raymond L. and Rose A. Chapman on June 25, 1961. He completed his high school education in Ann Arbor, Michigan and received his Chubb Institute certification while living in New Jersey. He had a talent for drawing, loved his years in trucking and absolutely adored each dog he ever owned over the years. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Rose A. Chapman and brother, Roland L. Chapman. He is survived by his father, Raymond L. Chapman, Sr., brother Raymond L. Chapman, Jr., sister Rhonda A. Chapman, his half-brothers Daniel and David, his daughter, niece and nephews and his very best friend, his dog Petey. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
