Ricky Session was born on 27th of December 1959 and passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 11, 2022, at noon at Faith Deliverance Community Church located at 5501 US Highway 277 S. Abilene, Texas. Visitation will be held at North's Funeral Home located at 242 Orange St. Abilene, Texas Thursday November 10th, from 5-7 pm. Interment will be held Monday November 14th, at 10am at the Abilene City Cemetery. Ricky was born in Rochester, TX to parents Vernon Session Sr. and Era Fay Wickware-Session. He received his primary education from Rochester schools. While in school he participated in Football. Ricky loved to be around family and friends, he was very close to his family. Ricky's favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys. Ricky loved listening to music and dancing. As a child, Ricky attended the Church of God in Christ in Rule Texas under the leadership of Pastor Leon Ward. His last membership was with Bethel Church of God in Christ in Stamford Texas where Vernon Session Jr is the pastor. Ricky was preceded in death by his father Pastor Vernon Session Sr., his brother Earl Session, and his sister Bertha Session-Mayo. Left to cherish his memories are his mother Era Fay Session-Gindratt, and his children; Tamara Mergerson, Clarence Flores, and DeWayne Skannal. His siblings: Era Johnson of Abilene, Vernon Lee Session Jr. (Ruby) of Haskell, TX, Fred Session of Abilene, LaVerne Key of Abilene, Era Lee Horton (John) of Crowley, TX, Connie Faye Morrison of Garden Ridge, TX, Irene Fleming of Vernon TX, Darell Session of Arlington, Erwin Paul Session (Michelle) of Abilene, Vanessa Romas of Kyle TX, Matthew Session (Layla) of Abilene, Mark Session of Abilene. 3 grandchildren TaMarion King, Tamiya Mouton, and Armani Flores, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
