Riley "R.B." Burton Hill, 75, of Abilene, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 15, 2016. Services will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. in North's Memorial Chapel with Jimmy Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday in North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street.
Riley Burton Hill was born September 4, 1940, in Spur, Texas. He was married fifty-seven years to his high school sweetheart Eva Ashworth Hill. He served in the U.S. Navy for twenty years during which he was stationed on three different air craft carriers. Riley worked for twenty years with Victor Equipment Co. and a part time position of delivering prescriptions for Barnes & Williams Drug Center of Abilene.
His enjoyments and interests were deer hunting, watching westerns on television and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Ashworth Hill, sister, Pennye Joos of Des Moines, Iowa; two daughters, Brenda Walker and husband Robert of Merkel, Linda Sneed of Merkel; four granddaughters: Lacey Slayton and husband Ed of Fort Worth, Jenny Thomas of Austin, Whitney Campbell and husband Jacob of Merkel, Sunny Sneed of Merkel; four great-grandchildren Colton, Kaleb, Madison and Jolee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and one brother.
